Lake Atitlan, Guatemala Feb. 2, 1942. The lake is very beautiful and the water clear. Saw several flocks of birds flying over it. Took a photo of one from shore. It was a small bird with long tail feathers and bright green color. Very striking against blue sky. Also saw some large fish jumping out of water. Their scales shimmered in sunlight. Beautiful scene.
