Dermay, J. S. 1942 Cinclus mexicanus Water Ouzel May 28. Cedar Grove, S. fork Kings R., 4600 ft., Fresno Co., Calif. (cont.) out again, and flew to a rocky ledge on N. side of pool between falls and dam. walked along rock, and stood bobbing for a few seconds. Walked down slope of rock into water. Since this area of pool was in shade, it could not be determined what the bird did under water. After a second or two, the ouzel reappeared, and walked along the rocks, dipping its bill into the water repeatedly.
