Bait, crushed walnut meats. Large black ants (1/2 inch long) had eaten part of the soft tissues of the mouse when it was found. May 31. Cedar Grove, S. Fork Kings R., 4600 ft., Inyo C., Calif. 52 Peromyscus caught on N. bank of Sheep Creek, just below the bridge. Trap set under stump of fir tree among cedars and dead leaves, about 10 ft. from the edge of the stream. Alders, willows, and oaks also growing in the area. 53 Peromyscus caught by Mrs. Ginnell on N-facing slope just S. of camp. In very rocky area among sugar pines and goldenrocks. Woodrat sign all around. Trap set for woodrats. This was the only specimen caught in 30 traps. It is a male, with testes 13 mm. long,
