Paul DeBenedetti 1960 Noctilio lepiornos Decade approx 10 mi. SE. San Blas, Nayarit, Mexico. One of these bats was shot as it was flying over the beach. We saw about 40 of the bats, as well as many smaller, darker ones. The bats were mostly over the sandy beach, but we did not check the water too well. The locality can be reached by going out from San Blas to the road to Playa Matanchen, and thence following the road along the beach, turning left at the beach. # 144
