Paul DeBenedictis 1960 Gerrhonotus multicarinatus Nov 25 Watershed land (E.B.H.O.D.) S. & W. of Grizzely Stables, Contra Costa Co., Calif. Today we found a juvenile under a slab of rock. The rock was a lava stone about 3 x 3 x 2 feet in size. The stop had fissured off and was pulled loose to reveal 2 Sceloporus and this Gerrhonotus. The crevice was quite dry although the surrounding area was damp. I was also found a large adult under a rock on & exposed slope and I found another juvenile in a similar spot. All the animals were quite inactive. Air temp about 48° F., a sight to heavy rain much of the time.
