Paul DeBenedicti 1960 Eumeces copei Sept. 4 29.3 mi (by road) NW Toluca, Mexico, Mexico (T. Papenfoss-H.A.Eodey collectors ) #127 Dorsal snout , tail broken. Dorsum brown 1, the scale edged very finely black, head almost immaculate; a yellow 3 dorsolateral stripe from mouth well onto tail, becoming reddish 7 posteriorly , bordered with black 2 above; laterally blackish 2 ; a whitish 4 lateral stripe from lips well on to tail, also becoming reddish posteriorly , & bordered with black below; grayish ventrolaterally , belly yellowish- brown 6 , with some blackish pigment on the posterior part to each scale , and much blackish pigment on the center of the tail beneath ; tail redder 8 than belly. Eye very dark.
