Aug 30 Hypopachus oxyrhinus
57.6 m NW (by road) of Guadalajara, Jalisco,
Mexico - collector T. Papenfuss-M.A. Eidey
Snout-vent 1 1/6". Dorsal and lateral ground
yellowish-olive (1), becoming very dark brown on lower
flanks, and grey (4) ventrally; a vague pale line from
snout to anal region along vertebral line; dorsally with
scattered black (2) spots, nebulous in nature, and
about 3 x 2 mm in size. Laterally finely reticulate
with black leaving small dots of the ground color
showing thru; this pattern especially prominent on
side of head & lips. Fore limb ground color (1)
above, with 3 dark cross bars; hind limbs same,
with 4 cross barn about 3/4 x as wide as interspaces;
a pale (5) streak from posterior corner of eye to
anterior arm insertion. Venter (belly & legs) with
pale creamy (3) spots about 2-3 mm in size, quite
prominent, throat dark bluish grey (6). no. 87
