Where the desert has been irrigated, it is quite productive. At lunch we ate all sorts of odds and ends - spam sandwiches, tuna sandwiches, cucumbers, etc, and scalding soup. Still no sign of Teddy, we pushed on and got to Mexicali - WE MADE IT ACROSS THE BORDER! - about 9, still without Ted. We are waiting at the border for him, and getting insurrevel, etc. About 9 P.M.
