Dara, D. 1981 Journal Mexico Oct. 27 Up early at ~6:00 and out of the Hotel Salina by ~7:00 A., we drove north on Mex. Hwy. 85, stopped for breakfast in Omitiquilpan at an awful restaurant just before crossing xlo bridge. We continued north and arrived in Durango at about 10:30 - 11:00A.. We tried to locate a sinkhole in which Steve Uzzell had collected Chryseotriton mosaueri in 1972 (see attached map. We found his guide Ascencio Muñoz, but he was of little help, if in fact he was actually the same guy. We finally did locate a sinkhole which very possibly was the same one, but it had been filled in with rocks. We removed some rocks, but it was of no use.
