Darda, D 1980 Journal Dogelan Creek Field Trip Oct. 3 We left UC Berkeley at ~10:30 A. I was in a car with Dave Good, Judy Bradwohl, and Robert Dail. We drove east on interstate 80 to eastern California near Truckee and took the Truckee exit. Upon exiting, we picked up Calif. Hwy. 89 north. We drove north on 89 for about 7.9 miles and turned left onto Dogelan Road. Dogelan Road is a dirt road and near its intersection with 89 is the station garage. We followed Dogelan Road for ~1.7 miles and arrived at the Dogelan Creek Field Station (SCFS) at ~2:30 P. (Nevada Co.) At ~3:00 P. Robert Dail and I set 61 museum special snap-traps 0.9 mi. NE SCFS at ~6320 ft. 35 traps were set in pines with rocky ground habitat, 7 were set in open grass near a small stream, 19 were set in willows and grass near the same small stream. Before we even had all of the traps set, we had already caught a Eutamias townsendi in the pine-rocks area. We returned at ~9:30 P to check the trap drive. We caught two animals; a Peromyscus maniculatus in the pine-rock habitat and a Zapus princeps (jumping mouse) in the willow-
