Dana, D. 1981 Journal Mexico Oct. 14 webbed, eyes protrude and [illegible] joint seem what laterally, very active compared to the birds. Oct. 15 Got up at ~6:30 A. Drove on southward on Hwy. 190. Stopped in Tamaulipan for breakfast. This seemed like a very pleasant little town and the breakfast was good. Got on at the Sonax. Continued on and passed thru Yanuitlan. Here there was a beautiful, large cathedral dating back to about 1523. Arrived in Oaxaca at noon and checked into the Hotel Margarita, (350 pesos for a room for two.) Left Oaxaca and went a little south before turning northeast on Hwy. 175 to make our way up to Cerro Don Felipe. At what appeared to be the highest place the paved road went, we turned left into a dirt road which took us on up the mountain. We celebrated at four stations: 1) Cerro Don Felipe, 9.7 km. NW La Cumbre, Oaxaca, Mex., 3010 m.
