It's my goddamn birthday! Patty and I checked the traps ~ 2:30 - many plugged, but no animal. Drove to DZra. Beautiful and good pictures. Returned for my birthday dinner - hamburger and french fries! Checked the traps ~ 6:00 - less plugged, no animal. Returned for a relaxing evening in the great, allright cool, lodge. I shared a beer with Patty at 7:56 - 27 years old. "May you stay forever young." - B. Dylan. 16 Dec. Popocatepetl Up at 7:00 and off to check the traps. Very cold, the car hardly started. No more supplies, and only a few plugged. We then headed into Amecameca to get the van washed, traveler's checks cashed, and to pick up a few things like soap, toothpaste, toothbrush (ripped off with my dog), and some food. Got gas and loaded back up Popo. We stopped and organized the inside of the van a bit. When we started back up, the van stopped again and we had to blow out the fuel
