Danda, D. 1980 Journal Hoatlinge Reservation Field Trip Nov. 22 One trap was next to a wood rat lunes. We again went to the water dole around 5:00 P. to attempt to mist net late. A couple of lates hit the nets, but weren't caught. Finally, a hoary bat was caught (Sacirius cinereus). It was very pissed and made hickering and chicking sounds. The clicks were very loud and appeared to be produced deep in the throat. We returned for dinner and Jim showed slides afterwards. They were slides from his and Carol's field trips to Peru. Learning about the Indian customs and society was really interesting. After the slides, we checked the mist nets. There were no more lates. There was a heavy fog in the air and the nets had become soaked. We checked the Skorman live traps and found several animals. The only new species was a Eutamies. We checked Dorebowke set earlier. My three had each gotten something. Two golden-crowned sparrows (Zonotrichia atricapilla) and a rabbit (Dyscolagus auduboni - desert cottotail).
