Danda, D. 1983 Journal 6 Dec. very thick. On no day I found 10 Psande. and 1 Chirpa. Both genera were found in similar microhabitats - all under logs (most in stumps) which was somewhat loose and pretty moist. It seemed as if there were "pockets" of animals in the wooded area. The main pocket was in an area where the canopy was broken above, Perhaps some sunlight is desirable. The vegetation was pine and small. I worked this area for about 3 hours. I worked two other areas for about a total of 1 hour to no avail. After leaving the last locality, the car stalled in the road. I had to leave it in the right lane as I couldn't roll it back off the road. I walked up toward the park office 7km up the road. After 2-3 hrs. I got a ride on a truck for the office. Two rangers drove me back to the road and helped me get it started. They seemed quite friendly and had noticed our camp the night before. The laughed at the fact I was with an amiga.
