Dada D. 1983 Journal 2 Dec. Plaza Escandida to Cuatlopan Up early ~6:00. Drove most of the day and got to Carola in mid afternoon. Tried to call [illegible] Traveler's Jackie only to find that one cannot on Friday afternoons. We ran out of gas and had to walk a couple of blocks to a Panes. I could getting the car started again. Finally made it to Barranca de Don Miguel to look for Guastatitan at ~5:00. Found one under a rock before darkness set in. Want to Cuatlopan to visit the Cereno. Found Carlos and Miguel and family. Good dinner. Miguel let us sleep on his living room floor. Carlos agreed to serve as guide the next day. 3 Dec. Barranca de Don Miguel - Huatusco - Cuatlopan Up early and to the Barranca with Carlos by 8:00. On as dawn + we found 12 Guastatitan and 6 [illegible] Parriniges, All were under rocks. Guastatitan tended to be under medium sized rocks in pretty moist soil, rocks or soil. Parriniges tended to be under smaller rocks in drier soil. Headed to Huatusco and stopped at two nearby localities. One ~2.5 km. S of town and the second ~2 km. S of town.
