At no time we were greeted by a man with a rifle. 30 Nov. to Playa Escandida Woke up at ~6:00 in the van near Coatzacoalcos and made our way feverishly for Playa Escandida for some R+R. We arrived in Colonauco at ~9:00, had a tire repaired, and drove out to Playa Escandida. Heaven! It's about 30 km. east of Colomaco, just off along the way.
