Dana, D. 1980 Journal Hostings Reservation Field Trip Nov 22 of no went to check the Calhoun line. I helped Sandy check stations 11-20 and found we had two Peromyscus. I helped Rand check 21-25. Sandy helped me check 26-35. Station #28 had a Reithro-dontomy. Station #33 had one Peromyscus californicus and a tail of a Reithrodontomy. Station #34 had two Reithrodontomy's and one Peromyscus truei. Rand had caught a Deer somewhere in stations 1-10. Sandy and I returned to camp and checked the Dorman line traps finding a few animals, but similar to deers. Lunch was ~1:00 P. The weather had clouded up a bit and mist fell a couple of times in the afternoon. No real rain, however. The class drove to the west part of the reservation to Arnold Road Plate to set live traps in hopes of catching some rabbits (Dylrilagus sachmoni). Several Tomahawks were set. I set two in some bushes. When we returned to camp, I spent some time attempting to study for the upcoming mammalogy lab practical. I didn't have much luck. I later set three Tomahawks near camp in a dry creek bed.
