Dada, D. 1983 Journal 21 Nov. Tuxtapa, Oax. to Tapachula, Chiapas Up early - ~7:00, breakfast at the El Parelo Hotel. Drive all day to Tapachula, Chiapas via the "new" road to Palmaras, 185 to 190 to 200 to Tapachula. Was in Tuxtapa, arrived in Tapachula at dusk and checked into the Hotel Konico. A little expansive, but very nice. Walked to a restaurant for a good dinner - Lapa Lapa. The Hotel is on the Guatemalan side of town. 22 Nov. Tapachula & Finca Don Jeronimo Up at ~ 8:00 A. Breakfast at Lapa Lapa. Found block ice on the Mexican side of town at the Coca-Cola bottling plant. 60 pesos for a large block. *Ice Coca-Cola Whistle Picked up Farm Boyar at the Tapachula airport at ~ 12:00. Left to collect cucumbers and arrived at Finca Don Jeronimo at ~ 2:45. It is located on the road to Union Juarez and Jalisco post Coatzatan.
