anda, D. 1983 Journal 17 Nov. Mexico City to Toluca Up at 7:00, breakfast at the hotel. During breakfast we get a call from Mrs. Bravo at Ramona Rent-a-Car. She looked out our car price and found it to be true. She was willing to rent her panel VW Condi to us at the same price. We took a taxi to pick up the Condi. It says "Ramona Rent-a-Car" on the side. Like driving a billboard. It should work very well, and the panel option will be good for sleeping. We headed out of Mexico City at ~12:00 toward Puebla on the Toll road. We stopped to eat at Rio Frio and took ~ 1 hr. to look for camaraderos. We drove up through Tovar as far as we could and liked up the canyon a ways. All grand cover is gone, and it was pretty dry except right on the river (Rio Frio?). Patty found a juvenile Psedonymces Sepissa under leaves. No Clinique. We left at ~3:30 and drove to Toluca then Puebla. Arrived at ~ 7:00 and ate dinner at the square.
