Panda, D. 1983 Journal 16 Nov. Mexico City Up at 7:00 A, breakfast at the hotel, then off by taxi to the permit office. Patty's permit was ready, and she got the animals she requested. My permit however was not quite what I had asked for. I was given my request for Chiropteratriton and Bolitoglossa, but was not given Pseudoeurycea, Ilaria, or Bararmodge. Neither was I given Nyctanalis or Dermophilis. We tried to talk our way into getting the Dermophilis. It seems that the genera which were dropped from the permit were dropped due to lack of justification in my project proposal. This is justified. My project was entirely about Chiroptera, Bolitoglossa was mentioned within the proposal, but the other genera were not. It seems that a new mention of the animals wanted may be justification enough. We took Patty's permit and was told we could return to talk to Dr. Reyes about the caecilians. We returned at ~11:00 and talked to Dr. Reyes. I explained that the caecilian was for our professor.
