Panda, D. 1983 Journal 14 Nov. Berkeley to Mexico City, Mexico Don Jose we drove Patty Harvey and myself to the San Francisco Airport. Our Mexicana flight left ~9:00 A at a round trip cost of ~$350.00 each. We stopped in Mazatlan to have our tourist cards stamped and flew on to Mexico City arriving at ~4:30 P. I exchanged $400.00 at an exchange rate of 1 dollar = 154 pesos. We took a taxi (VW conli) to the Hotel Don Francisco in downtown Mexico City. It cost $2,200 pesos, a very reasonable hotel in a very good location. We walked to the Zona Rosa and had dinner in a nice outdoor cafe (~1500 pesos).
