Dardo, D. 1982 Journal Theories Sept. 4 From Granlindo except a [illegible] found under a log. We cut down about 40 Granlinda. The area we walked was virgin forest until mice, large Granlinda. The area was made accessible because of lumbering going on around the locality. The area was generally dry, but not extreme dry like El Chico. It rained late in the afternoon. The [illegible] have fairly large feet and are generally larger than the [illegible]. Very good collecting. We had stopped at no other locality along this road to turn things with no success. We spend about 2 hrs. total in the area, 1 hr. at each locality. A very good decision to return to Tranquilinje. It is about a 2 hr. drive from Poconu. Not a bad drive, and much preferable to coming from Tamazunchale across that lonely road to Huexotla. This was an best collecting day. Tomorrow we return to Mexico City to prepare to leave.
