Dada, D. 1982 Journal Mexico Day 2 Drove N out of Tamazunchale on Mex. Hwy. 85 and turned W toward Xilitla and Ahuacatlan on Mex. Hwy. 120. We first stopped in Ahuacatlan to check the Cueva de la Iglesia for Chiripes. We found three in the banana plant growing from the mouth of the cave. There were not magpies, and no magpies were found. They are probably multidentatus. This same plant has always yielded Chiripes. We first checked with the man who owns the land before entering the cave. He was quite friendly, and we gave him 100 pesos for his help. People are quite friendly here. We then drove further west on 120, and turned off to the right at ~1.1 km W of Ahuacatlan. We followed this tunnel road road for about 0.7 km. From there, we crossed a field to a cave found previously by Stan - Cueva de la Potrerillos. It is quite large. There are actually two caves - the large, main one and the "rat cave". I found a rat skull, and it was a vampire rat skull. No saw evidence
