Duda, D. 1982 Journal Mepree Aug. 31 Our first stops today was to the S of Xriotapae. We drove ~ 3 km (3,3) S of the Mi Bandita out of Xriotapae, then turned E toward La Union and drove ~ 2km (2,1) E. Also we pulled off to the S of the road. This area has a pond and a good stand of large trees with bromeliads. It was quite wet and in fact rained while we were there. We cut down ~50 bromeliads and got 2 Chirajs (elev. 1150 m). We then drove further S and collected at three localities. First, ~ 2km N of the Puebla/Chalco state line (elev. 2750 m) we stopped by the road and got 3 B. capludica under cover. No Chirajs although they had been collected here before. I t think some were even dug out of a roadcut. Now today, it actually seemed a little dry here. The dirt was dry, rotten stumps dry inside, etc. One of the other stops was 0.7 km S of the first and the other was 0.5km N of the first. Both were similar to the first.
