Darda, D. 1982 Journal Mexico Aug. 30 staying in this area, they should be there. Strange! The third stop was at the far west end of the road (the paved part is near Hwy, 132). It is 24.2 km W of Totela or ~18 km E of the intersection with Hwy 119. This locality had been visited before on two occasions; the first two were now. How we did well - 6 Chinipe and 3 Bandevyrna cepalicia. We got Chinipe, less when I was with Wade in Oct/Nov 1981. The Chinipe was found mostly under wood cover on the ground. It is an easy locality to work. All in all, the road was quite interesting and probably deserves more time and exploration, especially the E end. The Chinipe found at the third (most W) locality saw reddish coloration on the back. It was getting late, so we headed to Xristoper de Juarez and got a room and a good meal at the 'El Bandito'. Almost heaven. More expensive than before, but because of the dollar, actually reasonable for me (~1200 pesos/night).
