Aug. 29 The ligende were caught at 3060 m,
The big geios seem to be on the SW
edge.
We then drove west and
Turned north for Cuetzalan . Chique.
Had been collected less trees.
Cuetzalan seems far removed from
the mainstream. We found a turnoff
to the west ~2 km. S of Cuetzalan.
We took this and found a large
screan field and some forest. It
begen to rain. We walked around
the forest, Nothing to turn and
very dense vegetation - almost
impossible to make -- say. in rain.
Low elev. - only 1055 m. No browseeds.
Left dejectedly and loaded back
south toward hotel. Pleaser of hope!
Apulco!! A Bald locality. Broadside.
We were short in time, but we
cut down a few. No animals,
but it seems worth returning.
Elev. = ~1360 m. There appears to
be an old jail just off the road
at Apulco. We also found the turn-off
for Tetela toward the west, It is
~3 km. N of Apulco. Tharner retake it!
