Dada, D. 1981 Journal Mexico Nov. 3 of town. Went into town to eat my get well. Nov. 4 Up at ~6:30 and its breakfast in a little roodside restaurant in Oaultzingo. We returned to the Puerto del Aire locality of yesterday. I found three Chiropt. in bromeliads by noon. These animals were quite small, but active and probably Chiropt. like yesterday. Then found five Tlorines, 2 in bromeliads and 3 on the ground. It appears that one of the ground specimens may be a different species from the other two, i.e. we may have three species of Tlorine from here. Duke picked up his traps. He got a Rhathrodonyx of questionable species - maybe mexicanus and a Paramyces Thomasi. This last animal is quite exceptional. It is the first animal of the pertinax superspecies of this complex to be collected since 1898 - Only the third known specimen. Duke was delighted to say the least. Unfortunately the animal, a female, appeared to be in bad shape. We tried to find liquid nitrogen or dry ice for tissue preservation in case the animal died. We could find none in Oregala or Cordoba.
