2pm White Wormed Sparrows, very close
P.M. Contra Costa Co
Saw movement in weeds, saw
gopher (assumed) pulling down dead stalk
of a perennial herb. Bottom of stalk
eaten off clearly, atangle. Set 5 traps.
Collected:
Alnus rhombifolia Plant 1
Salix
2
Ribes sanguineum
3
Sanicula marziessii
4
After about 2 hours, while we were
collecting plants, caught 2 Thomomys
cottae (gopher) in one of the traps.

Permitted area of ecology field trip in
Wilden Park. Reworked Sage, Grassland,
and Broad Sclerophyll forest.
Collected 1 small frog _

" Umbellularia californica " 6
Picked apart for scat and found some
mouse bones, etc. lower jaw.
