Peromyscus sp. 2.1 mi WNW Storkmille (Port Office) 1180+ft., Jefferson Co., Ohio Dec. 21, 1957 In a field area caught 2 Peromyscus. They were 3+?, near each other, possibly a pair. They were in a patch of briars and tall weeds at the edge of the field. Skins #261, 262. Dec. 23, 1957 Same area, 1150ft. Traps set in woods here near fallen logs and tree stumps, what look like good more areas. Had one Peromyscus near a broken fallen Beech, Skin #264. Another in a trap in the hollow base of a Beech several yards away and up the slope. Skin #265. 30 Dec. Caught another Peromyscus in the area of 264, around the same fallen Beech. This is #269. 31 Dec. Got a Peromyscus in a standing hollow tree. This one is #270.
