207 gm, Date of capture unknown.
7 July 1956 Black Hills 2.6 mi W Orinda Village 1020 Catalina Rd, Calif.
♀ 104 Caught in rat trap, walnut bait.
182.3 gm, 378-183-42-28. A very old
house not too far away, and a huge one
a hundred yards away were only rat signs.
Very dry, no water for at least a mile.
S. side of hill, S. facing slope. Many
parasite eggs in intestine with formed pellets.
14 July ♀ 110, ♀ 111 Close together by group of
houses, S. side of hill. No endosporas in either.
15 July ♀ 119 by 110 + 111 (same traps as one of
those). This area is tall Baccharis and
Antemaria, not too far from edge of woods,
human hill. Different from area on top
of hill, & min 118 on opposite side
of hill (N) nowhere near any houses I
can have seen. May have been moving, or
just wandering.
