holder, sat in edge of bush in plain right.
Soon began to sing. Evidently 2 &
moves concealed, further in bush. After 2
sang 3 or 4 times, both flew to lower
verandah wall further W. Sat about 3ft
apart, 2 continued to sing.
As I rounded yard of Barnard + Dana,
Song Sparrow flew to Verandah Ch.
yard, in large tree, sang once.
House Finch singing in large tree.
0755+ at least 6 White Crows in grass
N. of door to men's gym. Paid little
attention to passerby as they fed. Soon
flew to Arborite apparently feeding
on berries. I had seen Robin feeding on
these berries yesterday.
0805+ Field S. of Ag. Bldg. Saw (glimpse) of bird,
probably Sparrow Hawk, N. of Ag. Bldg.
Song Sparrow (2) singing atop Arborite
outside main entrance Ag. Bldg. Flew
to lower perch, continued singing after pedes-
rian passed. I had heard this bird from
about 100 yds. Very loud. Clean looking,
bright bird. Robin momentarily chased
him off perch, I think just flying by. 2 Spar.
immediately returned, continued singing.
