Banhs 1957 Melospiza melodia 30 6 May S. of Naval Research, Nest U 0105 L-3 6.8 gm. Held self self erect in hand, pretty well. Sec. coverts, neck, humerus have many sheaths but not far. A few on back. R-1 6.5 gm. Same as above. R-3 6.5 gm. Same as above. L-1 4.4+ gm. Flank tract not very dark, few spots on thigh. Prim. + sec. only are out, and alula. N of Naval Research Nest T 0720 3 young and 1 pipped egg, R-1 2.8 gm. L-1 1.9 gm L-3 1.9 gm All showed dark head area, rows of dark spots from crown to tail. 5 of Naval Research, Nest U 1910 R-1 8.7 gm. Eyes open. Sheathes on all tracts but thigh, tail, + crown, but nearly on first + last. Gaped in hand. + gave high pitched squeak, nrather buzzy, very fast notes. R-3 8.5 gm. Very active, squeaked a lot. 7 mm sheaths
