Rectrices out in sheath 3mm about to break thru. Tail covets not through. Holds head off body but drawn in. 1900 L-1 11.1 gm, 8+4 Prim. 9 mm. All tracts have sheaths well out, but no feathers thru yet. Upper tail covert sheaths barely out, tail not, Rt-1 4.9 gm, 8+4 Prim. 15mm, Rt. 9+4 left 15 Prim only one not out. 3+4 rt, 4+5 left prim, covert only one out. Outer half of sec covets out. No tail feathers out, a few on back of crown. Backs, humeral, clb., flank, thigh well out. Tail 4 mm. Both birds crouched at first, but both japed later. 1 May L-1 11.0 gm, 8+4 Prim. 11mm. AM Bird sits on balance pan with head raised. Gave potent notes at nest. A few abdominal feathers breaking thru sheaths. Sits on entire tarsus. R-1 14.2 gm, 8-4 Prim. 16 mm. All prim + sec out of sheath. Prim. covets out except Rt. 1,2,6,8, Left 1,2,3,8. Back well feathered as on nest tracts.
