Mlosyga melodia
36.
21 May WLSB West V - Three eggs this
morning, no sign of adults.
22 May NW Mona Fac Club, Nest W - Weighed
and landed three birds at 17.30 hrs.
The birds are very active in my hands,
but made no effort to fly away. They
didn't like to be held, but sat quietly.
By landing they became: R-3 = 5-1
L4 = 5-2
R4 = 5-3
- = 5-4
R2 = 5-5
Not much change from yesterday except
that feather development has progressed
some. Light stripes on crown and
over eyes are beginning to become
definite. All defecated in my hand
or in the rock.
23 May All birds out of the nest at 07.45.
Plants chipping in the area but I didn't
see them go into bush as if to feed.
West LSB, West V - Flushed & from
nest this morning. Still 3 eggs.
28 May 1 young and two eggs this mornin.
The young bird appears rather large
and 2+ days old, but I didn't take from
nest. Will check and weigh later.
NW Mona's Fac Club, Area of W - No sign
of any birds. Something has mashed
down a good bit of the honeysuckle
in the area. No chipping adults in area.
