14 13 March Corner Dana & Allston by Men's Gym. Song Sparrow singing in hick oak. Joined by another bird from hedge. One trilled, then flew W. to another tree. One in fruit tree sang once one in other tree answered by a short trill. Later (5min) a bird (someone?) sang from third tree down line on Allston. (5 trees lee- stated on corner, proposed Wt). 14 Mar. E. of Men's Far Club - as I passed N.E. corner, stood on bridge, a bird flew around the corner, along stream on N side of Bldg, sang once. Another bird sang, patrolling, for quite a while to E of N-S bridge, along stream. Bridge S. of Physics Bldg - Between Union & Mens Far Club. - Pair or maybe 3 birds low, just E of bridge along stream, E of Lee Art Annex Near 2 singing birds from lee. One is right in front of me across walk from Acacia patch. Other is by Cafeteria, on NW corner or along N side. This one stopped, just one quiet after a few unanswered songs. First bird into Acacia on ground. Second bird resumed singing, just one answered from Acacia, moved to hick oak across path to N Second bird is in shrubs W of path from Cafeteria to Union, by corner of old laundry torn down.
