Banks R.C. 1956 Song Sparrow 3, 10 Feb. Along creek just N. of Wilson, E. of Res. Rd. bridge. Songs alternated for a while. Only footbridge soon singing violently, often. Roadbridge I stopped. I saw foot bridge bird, not the other one. Both were quiet after a few minutes. I squeaked by foot bridge. I started to sing from near road bridge, fairly loud, from ground near foot of live oak. When all became quiet, I squeaked again. Road bridge I answered with song, from fartha away. Saw a bird above foot bridge, but it did not sing. Probably the boundary of these 2 birds is not determined yet. My presence may have inhibited foot bridge bird. This is probably the one I watched several days ago. Soon heard me singing S. of road bridge, Probably roadbridge bird if before. 13 Feb. Main entrance Apr. Bldg., campus. Bird sitting, singing in Rhynj, same location as before. N.E. corner Univ. Dr. + Hayland One bird singing in low shrubs. Sang only a few times. Steps to Calif. Hall, on side of L.S.B. A song sparrow singing in tree line. Another bird flew in, first bird flew to Rhynj, by flagpole, sang twice, walked a little. Then 2 birds flew toward Blue Spruce by N.E. Corner L.S.B. Across street from S.E. corner Wheeler Hall. Very sensitive bird. Along high bank of stream.
