Zonotrichia leucophrys 90 1 June 5 End Barrow Lane a singing & less, but not nesting apparently. Saw an immature bird, from last nest probably. N End Barrow Lane Also a singing bird here, flushed & and found nest with 4 eggs. It is in upper crotch of a low shrub- like tree, opposite first out-jut of Asm Bldg. &'s first singing perch was very near nest. Nest S (w) Corner Oxford Center. Nest R(w) 1905 L-1 15.6 gm. 8+ Prii, 10mm. Upper & lower tail covert sheaths out, rectrices barely out. A few mid-back feathers out of sheaths - not over a dozen. Many posterior central feathers thru sheath. Rests of lead in, but extends it some- times. Very still in my hand. R-3 16.4 gm. 8+ Prii, 8+ mm. Many ventral, no back feathers thru sheaths. Tail covert sheaths are present. Rectrices not quite out. R-1 14.3 gm. 8+ Prii, 8mm. A couple mid-back feathers out of sheath, + a number of flank feathers also along with a large no. of central ones. L-3 13.9 gm. 8+ Prii, 8 mm. Active on scale floor, tried to walk. Couldn't do much. By far the most active of the bunch.
