Banks 1957 Zonotrichia l. metallicus 85 24 May Bancroft, West P While holding R-1, he turned his head toward me and gaped. One bird once before did this, R-1 was quiet. I interpreted it before as threat - the, as I recall, it was accompanied by sound. R-1 was still while doing this (ie, not active). Bancroft, West O No change, eggs warm. Ellsworth between Bancroft & Thrant Saw a proven young flying, but not independent. Maybe 2 birds. Possibly from West N, just a few yards away. 25 May. Bancroft West O No change Bancroft West P 0610 2 birds still in nest, but ready to leave. One was about half over the edge, did not see the third bird.
