Edwards Field Nest Q (4)
0730 In "Quince" trees on E side of field, N of
blackberries, found nest with 1 freshly
hatched young, 3 eggs. Young still
has down matted, weight 2.5 gm.
Marked R-1. Nest is 9 1/2 ft up, +7
to have to boost up on a ledge or wall to get to it.
Also a pair of birds around NW corner
of this track field.

Only 1 egg left.
Both safe when moved, resume feed
under chest portion.

sec. coverts. Rectrices + upper tail coverts
out. Back well feathered, head
stripe beginning to show. Very
quiet in hand, began to run as
soon as placed on balance. Soon
became quiet.
