Banks, RC. 1955 field. Had 1 Peromyscus maniculatus and 1 & Sorex townsendi under live oaks. Had 1 & Peromyscus truei by thicket of brush in weedy field. Caught 4 Peromyscus californicus, all &, in heavy brush. Also had 1 Ictidomys trumani, 1 Junco oreganus. 2 prepared the Sorex, maniculatus, truei, one californicus, and 1 & Reithrodontomyx. Schnell did the Junco, californicus , 1 Reithrodontomyx. Ondrias did the 2 californicus and 1 Reithrodontomyx. My skins are 37-41, Ondrias' 14-16. 19 December J. Schnell & I checked traps again, same area as yesterday. Had 2 Microtus californicus, 1 Reithrodontomyx megacotis, 1 Peromyscus truei, 1 Ictidomys trumani (Vent) in weedy-grassy fields. Had 1 P. truei in [illegible] under live oak. I had rained all night, was raining as we picked up traps. 2 put up all mammals except Reithrodontomyx, as REB. 42-45.
