Zonotrichia leucophrys 21 May Bancroft, Nest P L-1 16.2 gm. 8th Prim. 8mm. A very few mid-lack feathers out of sheaths. Also a few on flank, and a couple on ventral surface of this. A few humeral and lesser coverts also out. Into a number of support lower ventral feathers out of sheaths. Shrieked in my hand, but was fairly quiet. Tail sheaths barely out. Gaped once on balance. R-3 14.6 gm. 8th Prim. 8mm. Gaped with legs up notes when taken from nest. A few humeral feathers some mid-lack flank, + very few thigh many ventral feathers out of sheath. No coverts. Probably not quite as well developed as L-1. Tail not out. All birds crouched silently when I first got to nest, but L-1 (?) gaped when I shook nest hard. Birds seem rather weak + uncoordinated. 22 May 0615 R-1 17.6 gm. 8th Prim. 11+mm. Some crown (occipital) + lower lack feathers then sheath, + left tert gsc + rt. dula slightly then, in addition to those out last night. Gaped in my hand. R-3. 14.0 gm. 8th Prim. 10mm. rt, outer gsc out. A few lower-lack feathers , more on other tracts than last night. Outer rect. 2mm - L-1 14.5 gms. Both L-1 + R-3 gaped in nest, less
