New-out after defecation 15.3 gm. Similar to R-1, but 2 outer sec. coverts on left wing, on left wing. Rt. alula out. tail 2-mm. 1920 R-1 21.6 gm. 8+4 Prim. 12 mm + Several sec. coverts each wing are out. No primaries or prim. coverts out. A few mid-+ lower-back feathers out, a few on occipital region. Alula + upper tail coverts out. Tail 2.5, outer rectrix, thigh, humerus, flank well out. Ventral feathers all out but chin and throat. Very quiet in hand & on balance. R-3 18.0 gm., 8+4 Prim. 13 mm. 2 rt., 2 left Primaries out. 6+4 rt., 1-3, 7 left greater prim. coverts out, others or left out lonely or almost. Upper back with sore out. A few dorsal anal feathers out. Very quiet. Grasped chest. tail 2.5 mm. also all feathers out on R-(are out). wt. after defecation 17.7 gm. Active on balance, got off twice.
