Zamotrichis l. metalli 61. 6 May Ellsworth St. West N Collected unknown age bird from this nest. He is larger & more fully feathered than most of mine when they leave the nest, at least so maybe 2 others in nest. Description will follow later. Bancroft, by Meth. Church In Cedar just above parking lot saw a bird with band on right leg, Bancroft along 4th Field, Upper Sec. Saw bird right near corner of Dana. Ellsworth St. West N Description of #91, bird rationed above. 8+ Primaries 27mm. All feathers out but sheaths do not show. Crown stripe very plain. Chin throat + breast streaked. Still much down adhering to feather tips. WT. 19.1 gm. Entire ventral surface covered. Estimated age 10 - 10 1/2 days. Tried to set out of my hand, carried it in a paper bag in my pocket. - it was quite active and chirped ( fright notes ) loudly + for long while. Barrow Lane, North 1930 L-1 17.0 gm. 8+ Prim. 8 mm. WT. after defecation 16.8 gm. Extremely active on balance. Most sheaths on all parts of body are out. Tail sheaths slightly dim, Many ventral feathers out. 12-1 15.8 gm. 8+ Prim. 8mm. A few dorsal feathers out of sheath. Many ventral feathers out.
