Gaped in nest + hand, down dry, very little matted. R-3 2.5 gm. Down not quite as dry. Very still, appears hardly alive. L-1 [illegible] 2.2 gm.) L-3 2.4 gm. L-1 apparently youngest, down very wet but may be from rain. 1915 R-1 3.5 gm. Others gaped when I looked at nest, but not thine. Gaped in my hands when I moved balance. Laid still if my hand until I moved. L-1 3.3 gm. Gaped when wind moved balance. Faint dark streak along hand. R-3 3.5 Same. L-3 3.5 Same, Rather windy, hard to get good weights on birds, esp. last one. All have dark spots down back, from neck to tail, all gaped when moved. A blood vessel running up right side of neck is prominent on all, has been on all young birds so far. Back spots less distinct on L-1 2 May L-3 3.5 gm. R-1 3.4 gm. L-1 3.2 gm. R-3 3.3 gm.
