Banks (1957) Zonotrichia leucophrys 51. 28 April Greenhouse Area, Nest T No change at 2AM, check. Have not seen parents bee for a while. 2214 Haste St., Berkeley, Calif. In my back yard found a nest in a hedge bush, 4 eggs, Call it nest "L". Bancroft, Nest H 1910 L-1 16.3 gm. 8th Prim. 10.5mm. Several secondary coverts out, many lack, humal, flank, all abdominal, a few thigh feathers out. Tail 1.5mm at most. Definitely clung nest. Marped + some leggings material on my hand R-9 19.5 gm. 8th Prim. 13+mm. Clung nest. All st prim but 2+9 out, all left prim + all but 2 left sec., about half night secondaries out. Several crown feathers out, upper tail coverts out, all other tracts well feathered. Tail 3mm. R-4 16.1 gm. 8th Prim. 13mm. Clung nest, gave protest notes when I took him from nest. Rt: 9th Prim., all st, sec., left 6th prim., all A left sec. not out. Some upper tail coverts out. Nest hearts well feathered, but not quite as well as R-1. 29 April 0630 L-1 15.5 gm. 8th Prim. 12 mm. Rt: 3+9 Prim., out, 7+8 nearly so. Outer 2 st secondaries out. Left 2+4th Prim out, most others nearly so Both albes out. No tail, crown, or neck feathers out, few thigh. Otherwise most feathers out. New nest after defecation 15.3gm.
