Banks (1957) Zonotrichia l. nuttalli. 37. 19 april Inside Edwards Field, Nest 6 R-3 (13.7 gm). Prim. 10 mm. All ventral feathers thin sheets except a very few most posterior. Many back feathers out, all humeral, a few on back/crown + back neck. Prim. 2+3 on right, several prim., coverts + lesser sec. coverts on both wings out. 3 records. on rt. out, 1 on left. Wt. after operation 13.5. R-1 (12.0 gm). Prim. 7 mm. A very few humeral & abdominal feathers out. Give fright note when taken from nest. R-4 13.2 gm. Prim. 8-9 mm. A few humeral, back, flank, upper abdominal tract feathers out. One prim. covert + 1 sec. covert on left wing, defecated before weighing. Greenhome Area, Nest I. This nest has 4 eggs, and the bird is incubating. S. Side Grounds + Bluffs, Nest E 0900 This nest is empty today, but otherwise undisturbed. Inside Edwards Field, Nest G. 1800 R-3 (17.3 gm). Prim. 13 mm. All abdominal, flank + humeral feathers out. Most back, a few posterior crown + some thigh feathers out. Rt. prim. 1,2,3 out, as are inner secondaries + outer sec. coverts, also a few primary coverts. The left primaries out but a few coverts ae. Defecated - nest wt 16.9.
