Bennett along 8th Field Line Sec West C
hand region of all showed a dark streak,
the only place where something means the
pindashers if shin. Movement, either of
the nest + bushes, the balance, or my hand tends
to make them gape. They will gape
sometimes if touched on back. Cannot
hold heads up for very long.
16 April
Inside Nkloker Ed. Field West G,
0615 R-3 7.7 gm. Prim. 6-9 out 1 mm., other
barely thru shin. 2 to others at X. Secondaries
also barely thru. No others at. Gaped
and squeaked faintly while gaping.
R-4 8.2 gm. Biggest prim. not quite
1 mm. Eyes open. Not open in R-3,
R-1 7.9 gm. Biggest Prim. 5 mm.
Eyes not open. All secondaries not
yet bulged thru shin. Held to nest
lining, pulled some out.
Bennett along 8th Field West C,
0630 R-1 3.9 gm. Dark streak along forearm,
thwn back, on humerus or crown,
R-3 3.8 gm. Not as dark as R-1, less
showing in same places.
L-3 3.4 gm. Not as dark even as
R-3 is but just an indication,
L-1 2.6 gm. Dead for sometime.
Ants near nest on L-1, which had been
dead for a good while, evidently, and was
beginning to rot, esp. around eyes.
