Zonotrichia leucophrys 31, 15 April Bancroft + Ath Field, Nest C. At 0600 found 4 young and 1 egg in nest. Believe they hatched this A.M. Weighed 0630-0645. P-1 2.6 gm. Down on back apparently not all dry, Mantle lining not very red, Shin pinkish on back, getting yellower. P-#3 2.44 gm. Down not dry. L-1 2.45 gm. Down not completely dry. #L-3 2.3 gm. Down all dry, not matted. Marked birds as above, the other egg is not pipped but is heavy, apparently good. One bird R-3, is very new, its down all matted, obviously just hatched. P-1 and L-1 have the down almost dry, but matted a couple places. L-3 has the down completely dry. Believe: L-3 possibly P-1+L-1 hatched last night, R-3 this morning. May be wrong on P-1 + L-1, Nest C Athletic Field 815 P-1 9.0 gm. Primaries extrude, and most secondaries, but not measmable. Shin broken only on about last half-(4-9) of the primaries. P-3 7.5 gm. Same as above, but fewer primaries out of shin, 6-9, and secondaries just beginning to push. Faint squeak and chick heard when gaping. P-4 8.7 gm. Same as P-1. Nest C Bancroft + Ath Field, Lower Sec.
