Plain bird was still in part of shell. I took him out, he is very weak, may not last. Collected him as an example of age O. 14 April. Greenlane Area, Nest I Three eggs at 06:00, marked the third "3", Other numbers not showing up too well. I was on nest. NW Corner Edwards Field, Nest G, 0610-06 R-3 4.4 gm. Dark patches show under skin along back from crown to anus, also on wings. R-4 4.4 gm. Same as above. R-1 4.0 gm. As above, but not quite as plain a back streak. All birds gaped, but none could hold itself erect. Bancroft along at Field Center Sec Nest H No change. Incubating 4 eggs, Same lower Sec. Nest C. still 5 eggs, warm. I accidently broke 1 egg, cracked it with a knuckle. Replaced it in nest.
