Banks 1957 Zonotrichia leucophrys nuttalli 27. 11 April S Side Grounds + Bluffs, Nest E No change, 0700, Incubating 4 eggs. Barrow Lane S End Elm Bluff. Saw 1 or 2 birds tee. No singing. Thought one bird was gathering nesting material attends of small keedge but not sure it was a white crown. A bird flew into small live oak tree from South, 12 April Inside N Clone Edwards Field, Vest G No change at 0800. Barcroft along 6th Field, Vest C No change, Still incubating. I am afraid these eggs won't hatch; it's been too long. Inside N Clone Edwards Field, Vest G- R-4 2.7 gm youngest (?) R-3 2.5 gm oldest - down dry R-1 2.3 gm next oldest (?) At 1630, felt in nest and thought there was one young. At [illegible] 1815 returned with balance, found 3 youngs. On R-4 + R-1, thedown was not yet dry but matted and wet. R-3 had the down dried + fluffy. All bezzled, heard no sound. Could not hold heads up, nor right themselves. This nest is very high and is protected from above by a large branch, so is very hard to look into. 13 April R-4 2.7 gm R-3 2.7 gm R-1 2.4 gm Egg is hatching, wt: 2.8 gm. age 1/2 0615 hrs.
